Dr. Lee received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors, and then did his internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center followed by a residency at the UC Davis Eye Center. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Lee served as a cornea specialist with Kaiser Permanente here in Sacramento. During his time there, he was selected as the Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) ocular surface champion for all of Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, as well as serving as the team ophthalmologist for the Sacramento Kings. His role as the team eye doctor gave him the opportunity to treat ocular injuries the players sustained, either in the locker room or in his office.
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a welcome addition to our practice. We hope that you have the opportunity to meet Dr. Lee, as he is currently accepting new patients.
In 2013, Sacramento Eye Consultants hosted its first live surgery seminar. A distinguished group of optometrists, who work closely with our practice, observed live cataract surgery using LenSx Laser technology. Drs. Richard Lewis and Patricia Sierra performed laser-assisted cataract surgery as Drs. Richard Grutzmacher and Jacob Brubaker discussed important topics such as patient selection, surgical procedure, astigmatism and post-op care.
Our surgeons strive to provide our patients with the newest technological advances ensuring quality performances and outcomes. Patients now have the option of choosing a computer-controlled laser to perform critical parts of the surgery making the procedure safer and more precise. Adding custom precision allows the surgeon to plan and perform the surgery with individualized specification, which in turn, helps patients regain sharper and more enhanced vision.
We are proud to offer laser assisted cataract surgery to our patients in the greater Sacramento area. If you would like to learn more about the procedure please call our office for a consultation with one our experienced doctors.
